Dividýlko Slaný is one of Czech Republics leading amateur theatre groups. It was formed more than 27 years ago, and from the very beginning they have been presenting their own plays. Among them are "Status Quo", "On The One Board" and "Perifeerie". They have performed dramatizations of P.Ryan's "How I Won the War", E.Kishon's "The Jewish Poker" and other parodies of well know dramatical acts such as J.N.Gogol's "The Investigation of a Fraudulent Inspector".
Efforts improve the writers style and actors performances brought about a specific kind of humor which spread throughout all the plays and is a characteristic aspect seen troughout the entire theatrical groups productions. Apart from the drama found in productions like "How I Won the War", "The Investigation Of A Fraudulent Inspector" and "The Jewish Poker" the comedy found in acts of "The Feast If Cannibals", the non-verbal stage projects consisting of independent pantomime scenes and black-outs like "Perifeerie", you will see a comon thread throughout the plays, it's Self-realization, Exaggeration and Levity.
